At Chateau Luxe Salon, we offer a unique service utilizing the latest technology in the industry: UV lashes. While the lash extensions are the same, we use a special UV glue and LED lamp for curing. What are LED/UV lash extensions? LED lashes are a newer technology in lash extension application, offering improved retention and less sensitivity. The curing process is unique, and means that the lashes are instantly waterproof, and much more resistant to oil. LED lashes are similar (in so far as look and feel) to regular lash extensions, except the application method/ and method of adhesive curing differs. The adhesive is cured by a process known as photoinitiation – each adhesive bond cures instantly upon exposure to a special light, for 1-3 seconds. This results in a stronger bond, and lashes can sometimes be applied more quickly and neatly (particularly in the case where the wearer has curled/criss-crossed natural lashes). What are the benefits? -Water resistant. You can shower, go to a sauna, swim in the ocean, do facials, and exercise right after the appointment! UV lashes have amazing retention! -Oil resistant. If a person has oily skin, it decreases retention dramatically, especially with regular lash glue. With the new UV technology, you experience less lash loss because the UV glue dries immediately once cured. -Better retention. Traditional glue retention is heavily influenced by humidity and temperature (retention is awful if you travel due to changes in humidity). -Time saver. Skip the mascara and lash curler—every day. With UV lash extensions, your lashes stay lifted, full, and defined 24/7, so you can wake up ready and cut precious minutes from your beauty routine. -Low allergy. Regular lash glues use latex to cure. Latex is a highly allergic ingredient. Due to the fact that UV glue is cured by light, not cured by air, there is no latex ingredient in UV glue. We had a half-year testing period of different materials: glues, lamps, removers, and eye patches. It took time to find the best suppliers and figure out the best process to better serve you.
